This review is from: Auto Meter 3708 Sport-Comp 2-5/8" 8000 RPM Mini Competition Tachometer (Automotive)
Auto-Meter has a reputation for quality gauges and this tach is no exception. Install went perfectly, the tach had no defects and runs like a top. The tach wire had plenty of length and didn't require any extensions.

The only problem I encountered was fitting it perfectly on the steering column (where I chose to mount it) so that it would not interfere with anything. The bezel of the tach is small, but the guage itself is LONG, almost 4" front to back, something to consider if you plan to mount it in a tight space.

One other thing, if your vehicle has a dimming feature and you wish to retain this feature on your tach, you will have to separate the ground between the tach itself and the ground for the tach light. They are connected to the same wire inside the tach. If you don't separate them, the tach will either remain illuminated or dim when you increase the gauges to max brightness, and it will go max bright when you dim.
