Ordered the AC Delco replacement and installed it myself. Saved over $800 by doing it myself and not taking it to Cadillac dealer. Only tool I had to purchase was a $10.00 trim remover tool at local auto supply. Was far easier to do than I had thought, but took it one step at a time and the reult was great! Took about three hours, overall. Cadillac dealers that want $800 plus dollars are making a killing... Thanks Amazon and AC Delco! When some name-brand suppliers are contracting with Chinese factories, it's a real advantage to use parts that will fit without modifications. Some aftermarket parts don't truly fit even after modifying.This Cadillac installation is a little finicky. Here are a few observations. Popping out the door handle plastic trim is spooky, as two teeth engage inside the lower edge which you can't see or feel. It's a snap in fit, conceived for assembly line speed, not for disassembly without breaking. Prying and wiggling gently while cursing corporate economic imperatives and their effects in production line designs worked, eventually. You can see clearly what you should have been doing once you get it off. A helper to hold the glass all the way up as you undo and remove the assembly, though not absolutely necessary, is nice.
