| 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful  Lift 2006 dakota, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Daystar KC09107BK Comfort Ride 2" Leveling Front Strut Spacer Kit (Automotive) Being the owner of a shop the install was very easy hour and half and I was able to align my truck very well.since I was in there I replaced the front shocks and springs with factory parts the ride is great and alot higher and better looking then the stock rake. I installed 31 inch new tires when doing this as well and a rear set of new kyb shocks in the rear. how ever the truck is now higher in the front then the the rear by about a half an inch... may like sound like alot but it shows. So now I have a set of air lift bags coming in for the rear to clean it up. The rear now needs to be higher and I will repost on how this turns out. All and all it is a good product great install and I think if I stayed with the old springs I would not have this hight problem the company should sell this kit with rear lift blocks 1-2 inch and It would be the best lift kit on the market for 6-speed dakota so far as lift ride and confort. I bought my '08 Dakota TRX new off the lot a couple of years ago. The truck sits level on the stock suspension, which is far too soft, so I almost immediately added rear air bags to stiffen up the rear end of the truck, and to help facilitate towing. The truck is capable of towing a significant payload, but the suspension will bottom out if you apply the necessary tongue weight to tow safely. With 80 PSI in the rear bags, I can tow my 7k trailer without issue. Typically I run about 50 PSI, just to tighten up the trucks handling. Even with the airbags in the back, the truck wouldn't clear even the most minuscule obstacles. So I started looking for a mild lift.
