The METALSHIELD protective coating process is a three step finish consisting of a rust inhibiting primer, dipped E-coat electrostatic coating to insure total finish coverage and finally an outer powder coat finish for durability. The METALSHIELD process is an OEM compatible finish providing the best corrosion protection over brands that use only powder coat on their products. I installed this on a 2007 ford focus 2 door and had to drill a hole as a part of the install. Luckily for me I was able to borrow most of the tools. It does come with everything but the ball, tow chain, tools, and wiring harness. The tools to torque down the ball will cost more than the ball itself, I still need to find out what harness to buy once I choose the trailer, I did get to test this at my nephew's farm by pulling an utility trailer around at low speeds on a dirt road but have yet to try it on the highway at highway speeds, still pretty happy with it for now. |
