Westin Black Safari Light Bar transform vehicles by adding a tough, rugged look that does not overpower compact, midsize trucks and SUV's. Includes slotted 1" x .5" hole tabs that accommodate a wide variety of auxiliary lights up to 6" in diameter. It helps to protect vehicle's front end with a rugged appearance that appeals to active lifestyles. Its welded tabs allow for east auxiliary light mounting while the mount brackets are customized for each application. The fully welded one-piece construction bolts on quickly and easily with no vehicle modifications on most applications. Light bars are made from heavy-duty 2 diameter steel tubing and equipped with light tabs for driving lights. It requires installation kit. Drilling is not required.

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful  Not a structural bar, but saved my front end., June 25, 2009 This review is from: Westin 30-0005 Light Bar - Black (Automotive) Although these aren't meant to be structural, after a car jumped a curb and hit my CR-V in a parking lot I was a believer. It was a slow speed accident, probably less than 10 mph by time the mini van hit my car, but it saved the front end. I replaced my lights and the bar and it was good as new. I replaced it with the exact same bar. One note to installation, the mounting hardware is tricky so be prepared to mess with it for a while. This doesn't really impact function as a light bar, I had just expected it to be more substantial. Great value, but don't push cars out of the way with this bar!  Thin tubing and does not last., October 3, 2012 This review is from: Westin 30-0005 Light Bar - Black (Automotive) I was disappointed by this product when I first received it. The tubing is extremely thin. It offers protection from bumps but adds absolutely no safety to the vehicle at speeds higher than about 10 mph. After two and a half years, the welds failed where the unit attaches to its mounts. The metal around the weld has literally rotted away. The unit fell off the car onto the road as I was driving last week, causing my family a good scare. We do not live near to salt water. I clean my car regularly. This unit is just plain cheap. Despite being overpriced, I would recommend spending more money on a heavy duty, high quality guard, if you really want one. This is almost purely for aesthetics, until it fails to even do that.
