This system provides a safe and secure place to dock your Apple iPhone while driving and will charge your phone battery when the vehicle is running. The adapter also provides a connection to the roof-mounted telephone antenna for improved cellular reception. Must be used in conjunction with the Vehicle Base Plate which is installed in the center console. Vehicle must be equipped with BMW Assist (SA639) with Bluetooth wireless technology.

But after extensive research I knew that before I ordered it. Once the modifications were performed the Snap-Adapter installed and works perfectly. I'm very pleased!
